North Dakota’s Mark Dobmeier First to Enter Knoxville World Challenge
Knoxville, IA (May 9, 2008) - Mark Dobmeier of Grand Forks hopes to follow in the footsteps of fellow North Dakotan
Donny Schatz at this year’s SuperClean Knoxville Nationals presented by Lucas Oil. Schatz is the top money earner in the
fourteen-year history of the Knoxville World Challenge, the Friday night finale held annually during the Knoxville Nationals.
This week, Dobmeier filed his first-ever entry for the $10,000-to-win international invitational as he qualified for the race
during January’s Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic (GASC) at the Premier Speedway at Sungold Stadium in Warrnambool,
Victoria, Australia.
Mark Dobmeier will wheel the Kistler-powered J&J winged sprint car entered by Lunstra Dobmeier Motorsports. The car is
sponsored by Senske & Son Transfer, LePier Oil Company, Dahlstrom Motors and DeKalb Seed. As a result of all five
international qualifiers, those drivers that are inversion-eligible for the fifteenth annual Knoxville World Challenge on
Friday, August 8, at Knoxville Raceway are:
